Word Processing – Text Editing

This module allows candidates to demonstrate their ability to use a word processing application in order to accomplish day-to-day tasks, such as creating, configuring and finalizing small-sized documents, e.g. letters. Candidates will be able to copy and move texts within the same document or between open documents. In addition, they will acquire the ability to use certain features associated with text editing applications. More precisely, they will be able to create basic charts, use photos and pictures, as well as mail merge tools.
In particular, candidates will be able to:

  • Work with documents and store them in various file formats
  • Choose the available built-in application features such as Help for productivity improvement
  • Create and process small-sized documents that are ready for sharing and distribution
  • Apply various formats to documents for improvement before distributing them and identify good practices when selecting the appropriate formatting
  • Import tables, images and drawing objects into the documents
  • Prepare documents for use in a mail merge
  • Customize page settings of a document, check them and check their spelling before final printing
