Text Editing


This section allows candidates to demonstrate their ability to use a word processing application to accomplish everyday tasks such as creating, formatting, and finishing small-sized documents, for example, letters and daily documents. Candidates will be able to copy and move text within the same document or between open documents. They will also gain skills in using some of the features associated with word processing applications. Specifically, they will be able to:

Work with documents and save them in different file formats.
Select and use available functions and Help to enhance productivity.
Create and edit small-sized documents ready for distribution and sharing.
Apply different formatting options to documents to enhance them before distribution and be able to identify good practice in choosing the appropriate formatting.
Insert tables, pictures, and drawing objects into documents.
Prepare documents for mail merge.
Adjust document page settings, check and correct spelling before finally printing.
